Meet Kailyn Anderson

Kailyn Anderson, LLMSW, TF-CBT, QIDP (she/her) has an education in clinical social work. She has five years’ worth of Community Mental Health experience, with a background in psychotherapy, case management, crisis intervention, and client advocacy. Through undertaking several professional roles within CMH, Kailyn has assisted clients in overcoming systemic barriers, prioritizing their mental health, and building the resources necessary to self-advocate. She adopts a social justice lens, practicing from an anti-racist, anti-oppressive, LGBTQIA+-affirming framework, with the belief that all persons deserve the opportunity to be supported through their mental health journey.

Kailyn specializes in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), an evidence-based, standardized therapeutic model used to help clients process and overcome traumatic experiences. Through personal and professional experience, Kailyn understands the insufferable weight of carrying unprocessed trauma and seeks to assist clients in healing through collaborative, supportive, and empathetic therapeutic partnerships. She understands that healing is not always a linear process and is flexible in her approach to allow for re-stabilization when things get too heavy. She is also a Qualified Intellectual/Developmental Disability Professional (QIDP), specializing in autism, cognitive delay, and chronic illness.

Her areas of focus include trauma, intellectual/developmental disability, chronic illness, suicidality, non-suicidal self-harm, and major mental illness, including depression and anxiety. Kailyn believes that with the right tools and support, modified to fit each individual’s unique set of circumstances, healing is possible through courage and dedication to the process.
